TENEX representative joins the WNA administrative bodies

In the end of April 2017, a delegation from TENEX (the “Company”) participated in the World Nuclear Fuel Cycle (WNFC) international conference held in Toronto, Canada. The event is traditionally organized by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and World Nuclear Association (WNA).
During the WNFC conference the representatives from the global nuclear industry companies and the world’s leading experts discuss the vital issues of nuclear fuel cycle development.
The Director General of TENEX Liudmila Zalimskaya has been reelected a member of the WNA Board of Management for another two-year term, while the head of the Company’s Back-End Department Mikhail Baryshnikov has become the Chair of the Working Group on Sustainable Used Fuel Management.



 Background Information:
The WNA Board of Management consists of twenty members, including the representatives from the world’s leading companies engaged in the nuclear fuel cycle, and sets forth the Association’s strategic goals and program of activities. Liudmila Zalimskaya joined the Board of management in 2014.
The Working Group on Sustainable Used Fuel Management summarizes the world’s best practices and elaborates communication strategies aimed at improving the public acceptance of back end topics. Mikhail Baryshnikov graduated from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) in 1998 majoring in Physics of Metals. In 2001 he defended the thesis for a Candidate of Technical Sciences. He worked at the Russian Research Center “Kurchatov Institute”, Sosny Research and Development Company (Dimitrovgrad) and Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, specialized in used nuclear fuel management.
