Social Policy and Charity
In 2012, TENEX joined the Social Charter of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, thus confirming its commitment to the fundamental principles set in it:
- valuing human life as paramount;
- regarding work safety and employee health as the key priority;
- recognizing employee labour rights as an essential element of human rights;
- viewing employees as the Company’s primary assets;
- observing human rights in any of the Company’s operations.
TENEX’s social policy is carried out within the framework of the industry-wide unified social policy approved by ROSATOM by means of social programs of various directions aimed at employee retention and motivation as well as building up the Company’s attractiveness as employer among young and experienced specialists.
Voluntary medical insurance programs of the Company are conducted in compliance with the industry-wide Standard for voluntary medical insurance. They ensure qualified medical care, including outpatient and ambulatory treatment, emergency medical assistance, dental care in specialized clinics, and in-patient treatment. All employees of the Company are insured against injuries and illnesses.
All members of the corporate pension program on the basis of the industry’s Non-State Pension Fund Atomgarant participate in a unified pension scheme with co-financing: each year, the Company transfers a fixed contribution (depending on the employee’s work experience) to the individual retirement account, voluntary contribution is paid by the employee.
Within the ROSATOM’s corporate social program, financial assistance is allocated for the retired long-term workers of the Company, who have significantly contributed to the development of the industry.
A number of ecological, educational and cultural programs approved by ROSATOM’s Charity Committee are carried out with financial support from TENEX. Since 2009, TENEX participates in the Protecting Rare and Endangered Species Program led by the President of the Russian Federation.
Under the terms of the agreements on uncompensated services delivery, the beneficiary companies submit reports to the Company on the targeted use of funds, indicating the measures implemented and the outcomes gained.
Blood donation is one of TENEX’s priorities in CSR activity. Since 2012, TENEX employees have regularly been taking part in blood donations for the patients of the local and federal major inpatient facilities and clinical research centers: D. Rogachev Federal Research, and Clinical Centre of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, S. P. Botkin Municipal Clinical Hospital, and A. N. Bakulev Scientific Center of cardiovascular surgery.
During the donation events, funds are being raised for purchases of expensive medication for the children taken care of by the “Podari Zhizn” (Gift of Life) charity foundation.
TENEX holds charity fairs, funds raising and clothes collection events for targeted aid to socially disadvantaged groups of people.
